Mahindra & Mahindra has ramped up its game in the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market, unveiling the Mahindra XEV 9e SUV alongside the BE 6e. These SUVs mark the debut of Mahindra’s two new sub-brands, XEV and BE, as the company expands its EV portfolio, which already includes the XUV400. Starting at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra XEV 9e promises a premium EV experience.

Fast-charging capabilities are impressive, with the larger battery charging from 20-80% in just 20 minutes using a 175kW DC charger. Standard charging options include:
- 11kW Charger: Full charge in 6-8 hours.
- 7.2kW Charger: Slightly slower, offering full capacity in 8.7-11.7 hours.
Mahindra XEV 9e SUV Performance
The Mahindra XEV 9e offers two motor configurations:
- 59kWh Variant: 231hp and 380Nm of torque.
- 79kWh Variant: 286hp, 380Nm of torque, and a 0-100kph sprint in just 6.8 seconds.
Its advanced brake-by-wire system ensures precise control, bringing the vehicle to a standstill from 100kph within 40 meters.
